Since 2006, First Captains started out offering a full range of boating instruction for both the beginner boater and the seasoned Captain on their boats. For the beginner; Are you the novice boater?  If so we will "Show you the ropes"; And for the beginner, our services begin with consulting you for the right boat. Helping you with selection and inspection. What are you looking for: new or used? What are your motives: fishing, cruising, skiing or maybe overnight or full weekends? Our goal is to help you make the right decision on your selection Once you've decided, we can check it out for you by doing a "Pre-Purchase Inspection".

Once you've made the selection and the inspection is done, then surveyed and purchased... YOUR FUN BEGINS! First Captains will schedule a day for your maiden voyage of instruction. We'll take you from A -Z on your boat. Once underway we'll spend 60% of our time riding, maneuvering and docking. Will give you all the CONFIDENCE that a seasoned boater would have after 6 years of boating. We take the "FEAR FACTOR" out of boating.  Now for you "SEASONED SALTS" that have moved up to a larger boat or have gone from a single to twin engines. Our instruction does not change. Will do a full orientation, features with benefits, ride the boat and spend 60% of our time getting you "COMFORTABLE and CONFIDENT" with  your NEW boat Our goals are the same for both the novice and the seasoned Captain. 

In addition to the boating instruction, First Captains  has maintained a mobile instructional, maintenance and repair service covering all facets of boaters needs. We'll come to you at your house, marina, yacht club for all your boating services.  Now, for the "DO-IT-YOURSELFER" boater that likes working on his boat and with the assistance of First Captains, we will reduce our labor rate to help you work on your boat. You see, First Captains is all about  minimizing YOUR expense to maximize YOUR fun! First Captains has a discount marine store located on the premises, with discounts on all your boating accessories, an engine shop and a fabrication shop.
